February 2011 Dear Stage Friends The Early Tickets for the PETRA concert in May were sold within a few days! Now we are very much looking forward to the official start of the presales, March 1st at 8 AM. But before that, we are happy to present two concerts with Albert & Andrea Adams Frey, a well-known German couple. They are going to tour with their new programme. An evening to sing along because audiences know many songs that they have written. We would like to invite all of you on Friday, March 25 to Kulturfenster. Carlos Martinez - Workshop & performance at a special location Do you know where the biggest prison in Europe is located? Correct, in Milan, Italy. It's the Opera Prison. An Organisation that is encouraging people to read more is actively involved in that facility. They are always looking for new ways to reach those imprisoned in order to motivate them to read and inspire their minds with good contents (http://leggereliberamente.it). For the beginning of March, Carlos Martínez has an invitation from those responsible for that Organisation to come to Milan, to offer a 7-hour workshop to interested prisoners as well as to do a performance within the prison walls.These new and interesting challenges inspire and motivate the Spanish Mime Artist. At the end of February he is going to perform in Germany and from the middle of March onward in Switzerland. In both countries he is giving a Workshop during that period. ARTS+ Kulturfenster: PRIX PLUS Award for theatre On Friday, March 25, the next "Kulturfenster" is going to take place in Olten. At the newly renovated hall "Schützi". This year the focus is on the theatre. Performers such as Peter Wild and Andrew Vanoni as well as the Theater group from the Prisma Church in Rapperswil, under the direction of Magdalena Meier-Pfeiffer, are going to show extracts of their programmes. The Impro-Pianist Martin Villiger together with Peter Wild is going to invite us to a premiere: He will improvise a piano piece on the spot for a sketch spontaneously performed by Peter Wild. This "Kulturfenster" is an annual gathering of artists and promoters. The program starts at 20h00. Presale is open.
