Dear Stage Friends

We are now well into the new year with plenty of new performances and workshops.
To all of you who enjoy some "snow holidays" we wish you sunny days!

Carlos Martinez   successfully completed 15 performances in Geneva and enjoyed meeting new people in the audience as well as friends who travelled from various parts of France and Switzerland to see him. . February & April mark his "workshop season".
In March, the Swiss Gospel Contest takes place for the 3rd time and the month of April has been declared the month of Culture for Churches.

Tirza Bosshardt, our trainee, has left PROFILE after a very intense and good year. Would you like to be her successor?

And some interesting projects are beginning to show up on the horizon...

Workshops with Carlos Martínez

In February the first series of "Touch the Silence" workshops start in Germany. It is a unforgettable experience to discover during one of these weekends the power of the Silence! It sometimes is even stronger then words...

From July 13 - 19 there will be the next course for advanced students titled "Say it in Silence". The maximum number of students is 12. As of today, the course is already half full.

April is declared as the "Month of Culture" by SEA

Here's a letter by the president of the Swiss Evangelical Alliance (SEA):

Art and Culture should have a firm place within our churches. Arts+, the association within the Swiss Evangelical Alliance for Art and Culture declared April as a special "Month of Culture". They offer all churches interested a choice of artists at exceptionally good prices in order to let them participate in the church service with their art form.
A number of musicians, dancers, fine artists, actors and poets blocked their agenda for April in order to be available for the Church.
Please, get in touch with our Art+ office in order to get advice about who could best fit t your services in April.

I warmly recommend you an artist for your sevices. I would be very happy if all artists could serve in at least one church service during April. It is such an enriching experience to see the variety of God's creativity.

3rd CH-Gospel Contest in Weinfelden

On Sunday March 2nd, the 3rd Swiss Gospel Contest will take place in Weinfelden. From 13h00 on, the competition of a cappella singing can be attended in the Evangelical Church and at 17h30 the big final concert with the voting starts at the Thurgauerhof.

These are the Finalists:

- Lori Glori
- Glo Gospel
- Join Together

This year the Jury consists of the following persons:
Bo Katzmann, Matthias Heimlicher, Gaetano Florio, Carmen Fenck, Fabian Egger und Jürgen Single.

Our trainee, Tirza Bosshardt, worked in our office for one year. On  1st February she left PROFILE Productions to continue her studies.

I was a great time with you! We wish you all the best! May all your creativitiy flow into your "moving images" at the Zurich Film School.

Wanted: A new Trainee

After the good experience with Tirza we are open for another trainee.
You will get an insight view of an agency and learn about the stage, backstage and office work.

What does the trainee do?
Well, here's a list of activites in order to give you a better picture:

- Computer work with the basic programmes
- Languages (English, French, German)
- Many phone calls - and even more Emails.
- Sometimes we have even to write letters
- Support for tours and events
- Dealing with all kind of different groups of persons (including artists...)
- Much routine: Update our database, update event agendas
- Mailings of flyers & posters

What's in the pipeline?

- In evaluation: Possible concert with legends Barry McGuire and Terry Talbot "Trippin' the Sixties"(August).
